ETWAS ANDERES is a series of objects that mutate and expand beyond the format of a traditional image into synthetically fabricated, biomorphic forms. The transmuted images simulate the organic structures and rhythm of living forms. Expanding like infectious matter, they occupy new forms of existence.
This series has been produced as part of the residency (de)construction of the image in Leipzig organized by the Croatian Association of Artists.
Robert Fenrich is an interdisciplinary artist based in Zagreb, Croatia. In his work, he explores the boundaries of image, ambiance, and sound. Using a mixed array of media, he questions the marginal relations of traditional dichotomies: of fiction and reality, technology and nature, matter and negative space. Through non-linear forms of visual narration, a frequent motif of Robert's work is the body - technological, collective, hybrid, and mutated - and its relation to space as a terrain of instability and disruption.
